Understanding and Calculating Artificial Grass Yarn

The higher the Dtex of a single grass filament, the thicker or wider the grass filament will be, which means better standing ability and increased wear resistance, so basically it will look better for longer. For example our Real Lux 30mm grass has a dtex of 14,400 and has 8 straight Polyethylene yarns and 8 curled PE yarns. So to work out the individual yarn dtex you divide the total dtex by the number of yarns. So each yarn has a dtex of 900.
